As of Thursday night, Freeman’s alternative app store had received visits from 5.15 million iPhones, 1.35 million iPads, and 400,000 iPod touches that were jailbroken with evasi0n, the first jailbreaking software for the iPhone 5 and iOS 6.1.
The famous Saurik also states that the tool has generated “insanely more new traffic” compare to Absinthe, even Jailbreakme, the popular online jailbreak released by Comex in the summer of 2011, which was used by only 1.4 million devices in its first nine days, making Evasi0n the fastest-adopted jailbreak software of all time.
The sucess behind the Evasi0n jailbreak is due to the greater diffusion of Apple devices on the market, and the long gap between the release of jailbreak. Now more than 7 million people are enjoying the freedom, and Apple should certainly think about this.
